hell, i'd be more than willing to write some for the game - as i'm sure most players would be. i want to know the real big stuff, and maybe it shouldn't be as casual as a little email in your manager's inbox, you know? maybe it could be like a little cutout from a magazine, or a newspaper clipping. but OOTP is a game that stands to benefit from some "frills" even if i have personal messages off for league trade news, i still want to know if the Yankees send Gerrit Cole to San Diego for MacKenzie Gore or something. OOTP is far and away my favourite game series, having logged literal thousands of hours over its last 4 iterations and i can't see myself slowing down for any prolonged period of time (everyone takes a break, though). people who really take their saves seriously will spend up to an hour on the Game Settings and League Settings to get the environment they want, where 39 year old pitchers don't sign 6 year $120m deals and legitimately solid rotation players have reasonable contract demands instead of wanting 20m+ because they just had a flukey 5 WAR season, or a minor league contract because they're bad hitters coming from pitcher's ball parks while defending a poor rotation. Starting with OOTP 16, the game has licenses for Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball. ![]() Out of the Park Baseball (abbreviated as OOTP) is a text-based baseball simulation for career, historical, and fictional play. like, the players develop well across the league, the AI gives you interesting trade offers while making good trades between its own teams.īut to achieve that it requires, as you said, so much effort on your part. Out of the Park Baseball Go June 15, 2021. The money was able to be traded only in those increments. What's so curious, though, is that there are some saves where the game feels "as it should" (whatever that means). International bonus money was also tradeable under the 2012-16 Collective Bargaining Agreement, but each clubs bonus pool was divided into four 'slots.' For instance, a club with a 3 million pool might have had a 1.5 million slot, an 800,000 slot, a 400,000 slot and a 300,000 slot.
